Calla Evergreen I think a part of it also comes from the fact that he met Feyre as a human. Fae are stronger, faster, longer lived than humans and he knows this. Not to mention that there is a lot of inherent misogyny in Fae culture where Females are naturally looked down upon (Him telling her there are no High Ladies then Rhysand turning around and making her *his* High Lady, etc)
