She clenched her jaw, glaring at the floor, hoping to stop the tears. Maybe a part of her had known something like this would happen. After all, people like her do not get happy endings. She wanted to smack at the hands on her back, comforting her. "It will be okay," they said, almost robotic. Will it really be okay? It was hard to tell. The robots kept reminding her that someday she would move on. "Move on, you will. There are others out there." Oh, how she wished she could grab the fragile lives of their loved ones and snap it because maybe then they would understand how much it hurt to lose a true love.
