Early Life

Bryce Quinlan was born in 15,010 VE to a human mother and a fae father. Her mother and stepfather raised her, and it wasn't until she was older that she met her father, though Bryce quickly determined she didn't want a relationship with him due to his attitude and behavior. This came only after she was granted civitas status and declared her allegiance to the House of Sky and Breath.

It has also been said that the Oracle was blind for a week after Bryce's visit, due to the fact that when her future was viewed, the Oracle clawed at its eyes. It was after this visit that she met the Prince of the Chasm of Hel (Aidas) who stayed with Bryce until she felt she could return to her father.

The Autumn King eventually offered a large sum of gold for Bryce to keep silence about her parentage, but she did it without the money. Upon taking the blood test, it was also discovered that upon her Drop, Bryce would have a lifespan of that of an immortal and have near-negligible powers.

It was also about this time in her life (around the age of sixteen) that Bryce had a disagreement with Ruhn, her half-brother who she was close to, leading to them to stop talking. Bryce refused to accept the apology for the insult that had been directed at her.

Life As Seen In The Books

Bryce Quinlan is seen living in an apartment with Danika Fendyr while working as an assistant at Griffin Antiquities. They had previously met in college and became good friends. She is dating Reid Redner, though quickly breaks up with him after he ignores her too much. After dumping Reid, she goes out with Fury Axtar and Juniper Andromeda to a club.

She finds Danika dead in their apartment and sets out to find who had killed her friend. Bryce assumed it was Phillip Briggs, but it is revealed that the true killer was Micah Domitus.
