'Elain Archeron'
Alright, full disclosure- even the people running our site have people to report to. And sometimes those people give us some super helpful suggestions about what kinds of content we should consider posting to our site to draw more people in. Recently we were provided with some of the top Google searches in relation to our fandom. Most of them are what you'd expect- Feyre, Lucien, Tamlin, the likes. And of course: 'Elain Archeron'.
Elain Archeron- Made Fae, Seer, and the middle Archeron who no one can seem to dislike. A girl who radiates so much Spring energy it's not even funny, but I digress. Let's see what fun we can dive into with Elain
Rambles on Elain Archeron
While she may be the last of the Archeron sisters, she’s certainly not the least. Today we’ll be discussing Elain Archeron.
Elain Archeron and her Garden
It seems that when it comes to the fandom, people either love or hate her. I have even seen her in the same comparison as Tamlin or the king of Hybern. I don’t get it. I really don’t. However, I think the dislike for elain for some people comes from the fact that she could be considered a bit… Well, mundane. Rather than training to become a Valkyrie or fighting a giant worm, instead Elain likes gardening. Is there really something so wrong about a character being nice and liking to garden? No. Not at all. I think it’s a breath of fresh air. Not every character you see has to be the one to save the world. However it seems that a lot of the fandom forgets that the middle Archeron sister is the very one who killed the king of Hybern.
A Cauldron-Given Gift
It’s safe to say that Elain is meant to be liked. She’s liked by all the inner circle (who don’t even hold her to the same standards as Nesta). She’s liked by her sisters and father. She’s even liked by the Cauldron, it’s said to purr in her presence and willingly gave her a gift. So it’s wild to see that she’s disliked so much by the readers. I am curious to see where the story goes in regards to Elain. There’s so much that has yet to be revealed. For example, the fact that she's a seer. How is this new power affecting her? It must be a lot to take in, possibly even scary. She’s gone through just as much in such a short time as her sisters, but has experienced it in seemingly such a different way than the other Acherons. Rather than turning to vices such as drinking and other activities that could be considered self destructive, instead Elain turned to self isolation. I know she’s going through a lot, but I’d like to see her recovery experience as well.
Being Real
With Elain comes a lot of fandom drama... and some of it might be warranted.
Elain's Love Triangle
Whenever her story comes, there’s an awful big chance that it will come with a potential love triangle. There’s already a ton of shipping wars throughout the fandom as is. It brings up the golden question of who is she going to pick?! Azriel or Lucien? And to that, I say why does she have to pick at all. With a great deal of communication and understanding from everyone involved, there are absolutely ways to make it work for a way to make everyone happy. This applies to both the readers AND Elain, Azriel and Lucien. However, if that’s not what ends up happening, I’m curious to see how the rejected mating bond will happen.
Elain's Vague Past
With Elain’s book, it only makes sense that more information will be told about her. I think it’d be interesting to hear about how her prior relationship with Grayson was. The couple was engaged, so it is an important factor of her old life. Her old life may be over, but Elain’s story most certainly isn’t. Come on, Sarah. Hand it over.
What is an interesting theory you’ve heard about Elain Archeron. I think the most interesting one I’ve heard is that she’s going to somehow turn evil throughout the series. I think it’s a bit far-fetched. But it raises my curiosity.
